Manufacturing Planner – Electronics Manufacturing (1)

Must have a minimum of 12 months experience planning for an electronics manufacturing facility that made highly customized “hi-tech” products.  Experience with J D Edwards MRP system is strongly desired, but experience in planning may be substituted.  A working knowledge of  JIT principles is a MUST.

Electronics Technicians (1)

This position is an addition to the staff.  It requires a minimum of a 2 year Electronics degree from a trade school or university (BSEE or BSEET). 

Position works independently to test electronic subassemblies, use a variety of test equipment to isolate problem parts, and make repairs as needed.  Applicants will be given a very short written test and then be asked to evaluate the results of a subassembly that failed standard environmental tests (operation in heat and cold environments).  This will require a short written explanation.

Soldering – Assembler/Technician (5)

Soldering skills will be tested with an actual product part.  Must be able to work 12 hour shifts Monday through Friday 5:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Quality Control Technician – Cable Products (2)

How do we build quality into the process and how do we know what to focus on to reach the goal?

 The Quality Technician will check the mechanical and electrical aspects of a wide variety of cable products.  Cables are made as parts of all product lines or as products used by the Offshore Cable industry as tethers or to carry electrical current in wet environments.  This job requires 12 months experience as a quality technician along with the perspective that problems found in QC show where the company needs to put training dollars, not a perspective of a “police force”.  How do we build quality into the process and how do we know what to focus on to reach the goal?

CNC Mills (4) and Lathes (5) ( days but moving to 12-hour night shift 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.)

To qualify for these positions, candidates must demonstrate the ability to calculate the dimensions from a drawing or sketch, and to identify parts, and to set up a job on a Mill or Lathe.  These positions require apprenticeship program or technical trade school PLUS 12 months of experience in a “job shop” environment.  All parts built in our shop are consumed in the manufacture of our own 4 product lines.

Stockroom Clerks (2)

These positions require the ability to dependably kit parts for manufacturing assembly lines.  Knowledge of electronic parts is a definite plus.  Qualified candidates should have experience working in the warehouse of an electronics manufacturer stocking parts and pulling parts for sales orders or for manufacturing jobs (making products for customers).
